There are few things more beautiful than a pregnant woman’s body – what a wondrous miracle-making machine! – and while it’s imperative to look after bub’s home base for the duration of your term, taking good care of your skin is also essential, particularly when it comes to the prevention of (much-dreaded) stretch marks.

You may remember from your teenage years that stretch marks are the result of your skin not being able to keep up with the rate your body is growing, meaning it stretches beyond its limits of elasticity. 2015 study found a correlation between low vitamin D levels and the occurrence of stretch marks, and while more research is needed, we can’t help thinking a 10-minute stint in the sun each day is good for mind, body and soul.

Moisturise
